BBC Children in Need Emergency Essentials Programme provides items that meet a child’s most basic needs such as a bed to sleep in, a cooker to provide a hot meal, blankets, clothes and other items or services critical to a child’s wellbeing

Confidential and independent telephone befriending services are available to Armenian clients and those connected with them. There are regular phone call conversations in Armenian, English or another language your clients feel comfortable with, and can be provided via platforms such as Zoom or WhatsApp, etc. Home visits can also be organised. This new family befriending programme will focus on helping the parents of our children heal, build friendships and develop confidence to enable them to pursue their life goals through 1-2 hour weekly befriending sessions, often using activities such as yoga, art gallery or volunteering as a platform.

This program aims at preventing isolation of older and vulnerable residents in RBKC by creating a supportive and empowering network of Bilingual volunteer befrienders, who shares the same culture and language of the individuals they support.

A patient will be referred for a series of 6 sessions with a designated worker in one of the four languages below, the patient may receive any of the activities listed below during their sessions:

Befriending / emotional support in their language,
Advice and information including form filling and benefits and income maximization,
Assistance in making and attending appointments, and support in accessing social activities.
