How we can help

Are you a resident of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea?

We provide a range of services and links that enable you to be involved and active in your community, whether it’s through volunteering, joining resident-led groups or accessing local services and activities.

If you would like to support a voluntary group and make a difference in your community, you can find out how to volunteer through our web page. The Volunteer Centre Kensington and Chelsea provides residents with support, training and many volunteering opportunities.

To find out about local events, training and programmes visit our local announcements and events section on our noticeboard. Local organisations can post their news and events directly on our website for you to see.

KCSC wants to support community-led action; find out more by visiting our page on community engagement.  We engage residents, Residents' Associations and local organisations to support local community alliances and strengthen civic participation.

KCSC facilitates the voice of the local voluntary and community sector by gathering views and representing them at a strategic level

For information on local health self-care services provided by the many local organisations, take a look at our section on Health and wellbeing.  KCSC currently manages two Social Prescribing schemes offering local services to older residents and you can find them all in our Directory.

If you are interested in learning more about safety and security in the borough, KCSC also supports the Safer Neighbourhood Board. The board aims to give local people and victims a greater voice in establishing local policing and crime priorities, as well as monitoring police performance and confidence.

The Kensington and Chelsea Poverty and Inequality Network (KCPIN) an KCSC initiative formed of different organisations did a piece of research on foodbanks. Read the Cooking for ideas report see the list of local informal foodbanks open to all residents.
