The Alliance for Youth Organising will provide anchor grants of £40,000 a year for two years to UK-based organisations that are supporting youth organising.
The purpose of the funding is to support wider access to youth organising and strengthen the youth organising field.
Groups will also receive an additional £5,000 to support learning and to provide strategic insight to the Alliance to shape its future strategy.
To be eligible to apply, organisations should:
• Provide training, coaching, or capacity building specifically for Youth Organising groups.
• Run organising and/or political education training programmes, or leadership development specifically for young organisers or activists.
• Offer resources, advice, guidance, tools, or platforms that strengthen Youth Organising capacity or help new groups to be established.
• Facilitate networks or coalitions that connect and strengthen Youth Organising groups.
• Provide legal, communications, or other specialist support services to young organisers.
• Offer fiscal sponsorship, incubation, or infrastructure support for young organisers.
Who CAN NOT apply
Organisations and groups who:
• Don’t work with young people.
• Don’t have a track record of supporting Youth Organising.
• Are working intergenerationally but young people do not have meaningful roles in leadership and decision making.
• Provide only general leadership development without specific organising skills, political education, collective power or focus on systemic injustice.
• Offer educational programmes about injustice but do not develop organising skills or collective power.
• Focus on individual development, mentoring, or support without collective action elements.
• Support youth panels, ambassadors, steering committees which are not rooted in organising principles.
• Work in advocacy or policy but do not support grassroots organising or youth-led campaigns.
Deadline - The deadline to apply is 23:59 Monday 26 January 2026.
Geographical focus – Across UK especially in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland or in rural areas or small towns in England.
