The funding supports civil society leaders and organisation working to strengthen integrity in the UK’s international financial systems, aiming to reduce corruption and improve transparency, alongside fostering alliances and collective action. Grants of up to £40,000 per year for up to three years are normally made.
Small UK based charities that are registered with the UK Charity Commission may apply.
In exceptional cases, organisations that are not registered charities may also be supported if they can demonstrate that their work is entirely charitable and for public benefit.
The Trust is keen to support diversity in non-profit leadership and welcome applications from people of all backgrounds.
Applicants are expected to:
- Demonstrate effective leadership, clear focus and strategy.
- Identify how their work fits with existing efforts by civil society and other stakeholders (and how plans have been developed in dialogue with them).
- Have an annual income of less than £5 million.
- Use funding, where possible, to strengthen long term sustainability for their organisation.
- Be applying to the Trust for work that is hard to fund from other sources.
