ADKC and Adult Social Care Monthly Support Surgery

Action Disability Kensington and Chelsea (ADKC) is launching a new regular advice session in co-production with RBKC Adult Social Care.

The first surgery will take place on Thursday 31 July at their centre on Silchester Road, London W10 and online via Zoom. 

This is a chance for local disabled people and older people to meet with staff from ADKC, Age UK, other support organisations and social workers from Adult Social Care, to get confidential advice and support.

RBKC Residents Survey

The council is inviting all Kensington and Chelsea residents to take part in a residents survey.

The survey focuses on your satisfaction with the local area and the services provided by the council. The council intends to use the feedback received to help set priorities and shape work towards a greener, safer, and fairer Kensington and Chelsea.

Email scam mentioning KCSC

We have recently become aware of an email scam mentioning our organisation. We have seen an email in which the sender offers a sale of KCSC data such as training attendees/registrants. The sender appears to be from an organisation called Business Box S.

Free new digital platform to help charities recruit the next generation of volunteers 

To help grow volunteer participation and mobilise the next generation of volunteers, Royal Voluntary Service has secured £5 million pounds of funding from players of People’s Postcode Lottery to develop a major new digital volunteering platform.  

Small Charity Week

Small Charity Week is here, and it's a great excuse for us to pay tribute to the work done by small VCS organisations both here in the borough of RBKC and further afield.

Taking place this week are a number of training sessions and webinars aimed specifically at small charities.

To kick things off, you can find a calendar of training sessions for small charities run by a number of different organisations, along with additional resources, news and thought pieces.

Greener Canalside Volunteering

Urbanwise London are holding weekly volunteering sessions at Canalside Activity Centre for people to come along and help clean up the area around the canal. 

This includes litter picking on the path and by bell boat or kayak for those interested, gardening, and an opportunity to meet new people.

No previous experience is required.
