Live Emergency Centre exercise - Volunteers needed

RBKC's Resilience Team are looking for volunteers to take part in the next Live Emergency Centre exercise on Thursday 15 January, designed to test training, identify what works and what doesn't, and enhance preparedness. 

This exercise will bring together a diverse group of participants, including multiagency partners, VCS, Faith Partners, Residents, staff, and volunteers from neighbouring councils.

Portobello Road re-design proposals

Over the past three years, residents, traders and businesses have shared clear priorities for its future: reducing flood risk, improving safety, supporting the market and protecting the heritage that makes Portobello special.

Cholesterol Checks Community Offer

Imperial College Health Partners are looking for teams and groups across North West London that actively engaging with local communities and would be interested in helping to shape the future of cardiovascular disease detection.

They are offering PocDoc tests to interested teams. PocDoc is a digitally enabled point of care lipid test that can generate a healthy heart check in under 10 minutes. It can be delivered by anyone – no healthcare qualifications are required.

Mentor with The Network for Black Women Leaders

The NBWL IS calling inspirational Black Women Leaders! 

Applications are now being accepted for their January 2026 cohort. As a mentor, you’ll play a vital role in supporting emerging leaders, offering guidance, encouragement, and insight rooted in your lived experience.

The application form is designed to ensure that mentors are not only qualified and aligned with the program’s philosophy but also responsive to the diverse needs and goals of the mentees.

The BECOMING Programme at Trimenco

Trimenco's signature programme, BECOMING is back with another 6 week programme starting Wednesday 5 November. The course is a daytime offer and runs from 11am to 1pm for six consecutive weeks at the Trimenco Centre, Peabody Estate, Dalgarno Gardens, W10 5JN.

The course aims to help women identify and overcome barriers, set and achieve goals, change mindset, increase confidence and let go of the past.

Woman's Trust Self-Development Workshops

Woman's Trust have announced self-development workshops for young women and girls aged 16-25 years affected by, or at risk of, domestic abuse.

Taking place from November-January, these are a series of online sessions on Wednesdays or face to face sessions on Tuesdays (for women aged 18+) creating a space for creativity, reflection and healing. Each week there will be a different theme.

Women can self-refer or be referred by a third party. 

Tackling Charity Leader Burnout: Rooted Community Assets Launches Wellbeing and Walking Project

Rooted Community Assets CIC has launched a new wellbeing initiative supported by Sport England and The National Lottery to help tackle burnout among charity and community leaders. The programme is open to charity and community organisations across London and regionally.

Running from November 2025 to June 2026, the Rooted Community Walk and Wellbeing Project combines online wellbeing sessions, guided hikes. We are offering funded places for seven charitable organisations on the Ramblers Walk Leadership Foundation Course.
