Grenfell Enhanced Health Checks February 2026

If you live or work in the North Kensington area and are affected by the Grenfell Tower fire, then you are eligible for a free Enhanced Health Check.

The Grenfell Enhanced Health Checks (GEHC) are available each year and include an initial in person appointment to undertake a range of checks and tests that will be provided by a health care professional including Breathing checks, Mental health & wellbeing checks, Physical health checks and Blood tests. 

Introduction to Mindfulness with Trimenco

In a fast-paced, overstimulated world, stress, anxiety and burnout have become all too common.

This 6-week Introduction to Mindfulness course offers a gentle, supportive space for women to slow down, reconnect with themselves and experience moments of calm in everyday life.

Designed for beginners, this programme requires no previous mindfulness experience.

This is the first in a series of Grenfell Assembly events where residents can get updates from public agencies and ask questions. It will be independently facilitated, with opportunities before and after the meeting to have one-to-one conversations with senior officers and officials from the Council and MHCLG.

Applications open for the Social Justice Archive Steering Collective

The North Kensington Social Justice Archive (NKSJA) has been established to document around 150 years of social justice history in North Kensington. The archive is in the early stages of developing a physical presence at North Kensington Library. You can find out more about the project here.

Eco-Fit Free Horticulture and Conservation course

What is Eco-Fit?

Eco-Fit is a free Introductory Horticulture and Conservation skills workshop series.  It runs on Wednesday's from 10.45am - 1pm, over six weeks.  The next course will start on 18 February 2026.

Eco-Fit is for people experiencing poor mental and/or physical disabilities and are resident in Kensington and Chelsea.

VCKC Annual Report

Volunteer Centre Kensington & Chelsea (VCKC) have published their annual report for 2024/25, showcasing their reflections and key statistics for the previous year.

The report contains a number of case studies for individual stories of people who have volunteered through VCKC. There are also insights into the programmes run this year, and key events VCKC have supported.

Young People’s Preventive Wellbeing Project

Healthwatch Kensington & Chelsea and Healthwatch Westminster are collaborating on a joint project that follows on from their Young People’s Mental Health work carried out in 2023.  

This year’s project aims to co-produce healthy, preventive measures that address the key factors contributing to poor mental health, as highlighted in their 2023 report, and to support prevention among young people aged 18-25 years.  

Inclusive Sports Sessions - Disability Sports Coach

Come and join the friendly coaching staff and members at this exciting multi-sport club, run by Disability Sports Coach (DSC).

This inclusive sport club takes place from 1pm - 3pm every Saturday at Kensington Leisure Centre, a short walk away from both Ladbroke Grove and Latimer Road tube stations.

A warm welcome is assured at Club K&C where the enthusiastic coaches and volunteers provide a wide variety of activities for all those who attend.

DSC Club are always delighted to see new faces, as well those who have supported the Club for many years!

Suicide Prevention is Everyone's Business - Free Suicide Prevention Training

The Every Life Matters Team have shared information on their free, life-saving training around suicide prevention.

This training is funded by RBKC and Westminster City Council and is available to anyone who lives or works in the boroughs.

Training available:

• Suicide Awareness Bitesize: A one-hour online session designed to help you recognise the signs of suicide, talk openly about it, and offer practical support - 24 March.
