Live Emergency Centre exercise

Submitted by Duncan Cordy on

Kensington and Chelsea Local Authority’s Resilience Team will be hosting another Live Emergency Centre exercise. This exercise will bring together a diverse group of participants, including multiagency partners, VCS, Faith Partners, Residents, staff, and volunteers from neighbouring councils.

The goal is to build upon the valuable lessons learned from previous exercises, as well as incidents the team have been involved in. Additionally, insights will be incorporated from other recent incidents across various boroughs. The aim is to make this exercise very engaging, valuable, and as realistic as possible, and to achieve this, Council teams and organisations that play vital roles in supporting residents during large-scale incidents will be involved. Snacks and refreshments will be provided for all involved.

The exercise will take place at Kensington Town Hall (Hornton Street, London W8 7NX) in the Great Hall on Thursday 11 September 2025, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. This event is designed to test training, identify what works and what doesn't, and ultimately enhance preparedness.

The organisers are looking for volunteers to participate and play a variety of roles, ensuring the exercise is as close to the real thing as possible.
