Communities Building Economic Change

This fund aims to support organisations rooted in communities experiencing economic injustice that are providing frontline support services and are working to deliver long-term change across the following funding priorities:

• Building shared understanding of the economy.
• Securing the basics everyone needs
• Giving communities more power.

In this round, funding is for organisations rooted in the communities most affected by economic injustice, including racially minoritised people living in London, disabled people, women, refugees and migrants, LGBTQIA+ communities, low-income and working-class communities, and other marginalised communities.

Groups must:

• Be a small-to-medium sized organisation with an annual income between £50,000 and £1.5 million.
• Be deeply rooted in communities experiencing high levels of economic injustice.
• Provide practical frontline services or meeting needs support for their communities, such as food provision, advice-giving, and running services or activities.
• Work towards achieving longer-term change, underpinned by an understanding that the way economic systems are organised and operate creates the issues and needs that their communities face.
• Already use frontline insights from their meeting needs work to inform or develop their work.
• Be able to demonstrate a track record of at least two years' experience in systemic work in one or more of the fund's priorities.

Partnership applications are accepted. Core and flexible grants of between £150,000 and £450,000 over five years are available.
