Changes to foot health (podiatry) service in Kensington and Chelsea and Queens park and Paddington

Central London Community Healthcare (CLCH) currently provide podiatry services to patients who live in Kensington and Chelsea and Queens park and Paddington. Following a review carried out by West London Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), the eligibility criteria for foot health has changed. From the 1st October 2017, patients with low level care needs no longer meet the eligibility criteria for the podiatry service

Host a workshop to support the development of personalised health care plans

The North West London Collaborative of Clinical Commissioning Groups (NWL CCGs) and Healthy London Partnership (HLP) are seeking to work with local voluntary and charitable organisations to run a series of workshops to learn how personalised care plans could be used to improve public access to personal health budgets.

The workshops, each lasting up to 4hours, are for those with long term conditions (with two or more conditions) and for those with a learning disability and autism.

New sexual health services in Kensington and Chelsea

The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea has appointed a new local partnership and Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust (CNWL) to deliver sexual health services from April 2017. The new three-year contracts will deliver sexual health services including sexual health awareness, HIV support, contraception and sexual transmitted infections (STIs) screening.

KCSC's new Health and Care bulletin is out

Health and care services are being transformed at a rapid rate. There are many initiatives at the moment. KCSC will be running a workshop on 27th October to bring the voluntary sector up-do-date (invitation to follow). Keep an eye on our website as we will be publishing information there shortly and updating it regularly.

To prepare the groups and inform them, KCSC drafted and sent out a Health and Care bulletin.

KCSC Review of 2015-16

The KCSC Annual General Meeting was held on Tuesday 27 September, preceeded by a talk and discussion on the prospects for voluntary and community groups and our changing role in health and wellbeing.

Entitled 'A Strong Foundation' the morning session featured a presentation by Lev Pedro from national voluntary sector agency NCVO and from Mark Harrod, a specialist in VCS Health and Wellbeing who has worked extensively with local health services in Kensington and Chelsea.

New Link newsletter is out now

Our summer/autumn issue of Link is available now, with a focus on the difficulties faced by disabled people who have seen benefit payments cut as the government has sought to reduce welfare spending. We also look at the pros and cons of sharing office space, something an increasing number of voluntary organisations are doing to make the most of limited resources.

JSNA Review Survey 2016

The Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA) is a tool used to describe the current and future health and wellbeing needs of the local population in Hammersmith and Fulham, Kensington and Chelsea, and Westminster. It is designed to inform the strategic direction of service delivery to meet those needs.

Across the three boroughs the JSNA is coordinated by the Public Health team and monitored by the JSNA Steering Group on behalf of the local Health and Wellbeing Boards.

What do you think of the local Compact?

Compact Voice's 2015 survey of the Kensington and Chelsea Compacts is now open. The information collected helps to map local Compact activity across England and provides valuable insights into how the voluntary sector more widely is engaging with new policies and commissioning bodies.

You can take the survey here.

Most of the questions are multiple choice so it should only take approximately 15 minutes to complete. Each completed entry will go into the draw to win a £100 John Lewis Voucher.

New Dementia JSNA published

A new report on Dementia has been published as part of the Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA). 

It draws on information from a range of sources, including national and local data, audit, policy and research, to provide a comprehensive picture and evidence base about the local population to inform commissioning intentions for Hammersmith and Fulham, Kensington and Chelsea, and Westminster.
