One Million Mentors

Submitted by Duncan Cordy on

One Million Mentors (1MM) is a new mentoring initiative - all about helping young people grow into the best version of themselves. It's a no-pressure, judgement-free space to get support from someone who has work experience and can see things from a new angle.

With a mentor's help, benefits include improved employability insights, confidence, and better clarity for the future. Various skills are developed through mentoring with a variety of benefits contributing to empowerment, wellbeing, and social connectedness.

After mentoring:

•    90% received career guidance
•    72% felt clearer about the future
•    78% better understand what employers are looking for

1MM will give the young person one-to-one support for up to a year, and guidance, through matching with a mentor based on their goals.

One hour per month, from July 2025 to March 2026.

Meeting venue arranged via mutual agreement between mentor and mentee.

Eligibility

A young person aged 18-25 years, with a Greater London postcode.

If a young person has needs which could be complex and requires additional support for the mentoring (self-declared during registration), they will require a review for suitability of the programme.

Customers can self refer via the link: One Million Mentors | Program Overview

Applications must be submitted by Friday 11 July.

The young person will be quickly matched to one of their 200 mentors.
