Birth Education & Advocacy Classes - Free Perinatal Programme - Summer 2026

Neighbourhood Doulas are launching two free, community-led programmes this June.

Programme 1: Birth Education & Advocacy Classes

A fully-funded antenatal course open to all pregnant residents. These sessions are trauma-informed and inclusive, giving participants the knowledge and confidence to navigate pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood.

Holmfield House Children’s Centre, 4–6 Golborne Road, W10 5PE 

(Kensington & Chelsea residents)

Online

Available via Zoom for all other UK residents

The 5-Week Course Covers:

  • Know Your Options – (Birth centre, labour ward, home birth, elective caesarean)
  • Birth Should Not Be Fear Based – (Physiological birth and understanding induction)
  • Know Your Rights – (Advocacy, consent, role play)
  • Information & Decision Making – (Interventions, Information, decision making tools -(B.R.A.I.N.S)
  • Confident Parenting & Postnatal Awareness – (Infant feeding, healing and recovery, newborn patterns & care, mental well-being etc.)
