WARM Network Microgrants

Deadline

Kensington and Chelsea Social Council (KCSC) is building a Wellbeing and Resilience Mentor (WARM) network across the borough's voluntary and community sector (VCS).

£500 microgrants are available to 15 local, non-profit organisations who regularly deliver informal money guidance, to facilitate their active participation in the WARM Network.

This project is designed to:

  • Develop a network of trained Wellbeing and Resilience Mentors (WARM) embedded within trusted local organisations.
  • Equip grassroots VCS organisations to deliver dignified, inclusive, cash-first crisis responses.
  • Strengthen pathways to advice and wraparound support through effective signposting and referrals.
  • Support shared learning, data collection and collaboration to help address poverty and hardship in Kensington and Chelsea.

The WARM Network will play a key role in strengthening and standardising the community response to financial crisis, hardship and poverty.

To be eligible, organisations must:

• Be a registered member of Kensington and Chelsea Social Council.

• Regularly deliver any type of unregulated money guidance to residents at risk of financial hardship or poverty.

• Nominate a Wellbeing and Resilience Mentor (staff or volunteer) who must:

o Complete accredited training in money guidance.

o Participate in regular peer learning and networking coordinated by KCSC.

o Cascade learning and help to embed money guidance, referrals and holistic support within their organisation’s work.

• Have a constitution or set of written rules.

• Have a bank account registered in the organisation’s name.

• Adhere to Safeguarding Policies, particularly if working with children or vulnerable adults.
