Designed by Action Disability Kensington & Chelsea (ADKC), the workshop aims to support local voluntary sector service providers to facilitate the inclusion of disabled people in every area of their organisation and the programmes they deliver.
You are welcome to join us via Zoom or in-person* for this friendly, dynamic and informative session delivered by Jamie Renton, a highly experienced trainer and CEO of ADKC. Through a blended learning approach including group work and open discussion, participants will:
- Gain understanding of the barriers faced by disabled people and how these can be dismantled to make your organisations and services more accessible.
- Find out about disability issues in a wider context, and update your knowledge of the current thinking around, and approaches to, disability.
- Gain practical advice on key topics, including physical access and communicating with disabled people.
- Discover where to get support, including information on the services available at ADKC.
- Identify next steps and propose a way forward.
*Limited in-person spaces are available at the KCSC offices (111-117 Lancaster Road, W11 1QT). If you would like to attend in-person, please register as normal, and then email us via [email protected] requesting a space. Spaces are limited and will be assigned on a first come, first serve basis.
