It is Volunteers Week next week so we are taking the opportunity to highlight both a national volunteering platform and our local Volunteer Centre.
The VCS Assembly provided the opportunity for the sector to come together focus strengthening relationships with corporates. The event examined the benefits of corporate and voluntary and community sector (VCS) relationships as well as how social value works within procurement to deliver benefits to the local VCS.

Thanks to all of you who made it to our VCS Assembly held late November 2024. We all had a great opportunity to learn more about advice provision in the borough and to share how we can work better together to support residents in need of advice and wider support.

Thank you to Penny Wilson who facilitated the VCS Assembly titled Adaptive leadership in uncertain times on 19 November.
It was a great learning session and KCSC will be diving into the feedback to help inform future topics and sector development needs.
Some feedback from participants who attended told us what they hoped to get out of the session such as ‘to gather some insights for weathering the forthcoming storm’ and ‘to think about how to lead the board though a new strategy in challenging times’.
