Free Transitional Safeguarding Webinar with Dez Holmes and Nathalie Huegler
This is open to strategic leaders, as well as managers and frontline practitioners across all partner agencies.
This webinar will introduce participants to the concept and key principles of Transitional Safeguarding, an approach to safeguarding young people and young adults fluidly across developmental stages, first proposed in a briefing paper by Dez Holmes and Emma Smale (2018) for Research in Practice. As a whole systems change approach (rather than a service or practice model) Transitional Safeguarding is developed in partnership with a diverse range of local services and sectors (including, but not limited to, children’s and adult social care, as well as agencies from health, youth and criminal justice, education, housing, community safety, as well as the voluntary and grassroots sectors) and with young people, families and local communities.
