Westway Trust Independent Anti-Racism Scrutiny Panel

Westway Trust is looking to appoint up to eight people to an Independent Panel that can provide insights into the lived experiences of the diverse racial demographics of North Kensington. 

What the role involves:

•    Providing independent oversight, insight and challenge on the Trust’s Anti-Racism Policy and Action Plan, with reports submitted to the Board twice a year.
•    Four evening meetings per year (2–3 hours each), with around two hours’ preparation per meeting, plus contributing to Panel reports twice a year.
•    Meetings held virtually or in hybrid form, to facilitate wider participation.
•    An annual payment of £1,500, in addition to expenses (such as travel or caring costs) against receipts. 
•    An induction and ongoing support provided to all Panel Members.

The Trust are looking for people with a strong commitment to anti-racism and inclusion, particularly those connected to North Kensington, and with lived experience or professional insight into tackling racial inequality.
