Take the Lead Grants for Community Projects

The Take the Lead programme is a new initiative that offers grants between £500 and £1,500 for projects, events, or activities that explore how data can support health and wellbeing within your local community.

The programme is designed to support community-led ideas and engage groups that are typically underrepresented in health data science, particularly those working with:

•    People disadvantaged in terms of income
•    Minority ethnic communities
•    Young people aged 11–25 (especially in areas of deprivation)
•    People aged 65+ (particularly in areas of deprivation)
•    People living in rural areas
•    People experiencing digital exclusion

Key Dates:

•    The application deadline is 5pm, 13 October 2025.
•    Grants will support activities taking place between January and March 2026.
