The Council recently published their Social Investment Report for 2023-24, which looks at the social value connected with their decision-making - how places, services and goods impact local residents in terms of life satisfaction, wellbeing and quality of life, instead of just financially.
The report uses a tool called Social Return on Investment (as well as other approaches) to measure social value. This tool compares social impact against financial investment. On page 8 of the report, you can see a number of different local projects measured by their Social Return on Investment.
Pages 12-16 talks about local organisations with particular focus on the voluntary sector.
Other key themes in the report include Health and Wellbeing, Employment and Skills and Sustainability.
You can read an introduction and download the full report on the council website.
