Where: 31 Wardour Street in Soho W1D 6PT
Time: 6pm - 8pm
Porn is a major part of many people’s sexual and digital lives, but it’s rarely talked about in ways that feel honest, nuanced, or non-judgemental. This four-part porn literacy workshop series offers a supportive, inclusive space to explore pornography through discussion, reflection, and interactive activities. Rather than treating young people as passive victims or assuming porn is either wholly harmful or empowering, the sessions approach participants as active media consumers with diverse experiences and needs. Together we’ll unpack what porn is, how regulation impacts access and privacy, how it shapes ideas about sex and relationships, and how to engage with porn more intentionally. The series centres critical thinking and openness , making space for complexity without shame.
Session 1: Why Porn?
The first session introduces how we will explore pornography together in a shame-free, inclusive, and open-minded environment.
Session 2: Protect you from Porn?
The second session explores the UK Online Safety Act, focusing on how regulation, age verification, and “protection” narratives shape access to pornography.
Session 3: Let’s play!
Porn is media. Which means it can be analysed, questioned, and understood like any other cultural product.
Session 4: Porn guide zine making
In the final session, participants will synthesize what they’ve explored across the series by creating a porn literacy zine, individually or in small groups.
The peer mentors have had safeguarding training, there will be group contracting to ensure participants understand this is a peer support group and not group therapy, further mental health support will be clearly signposted and the peer mentors will be supervised by the SASH Peer Mentor Coordinator, who will be present at all groups.

Whilst further support is available through coaching and counselling services, this is reserved for residents of Westminster, Kensington & Chelsea and Hammersmith & Fulham, however the peer group can be accessed by young people who reside Pan London.
