Join us for the final session of the Our Community, Our Voice Programme – Trauma informed practice in North Kensington.
This session will be delivered by Arantxa Gaba and Richard Lee.
For those of you who have participated in previous Our Community, Our Voice sessions, this final session will be an online workshop that will explore the role of trauma-informed practice in building a healthier and more resilient community in North Kensington following the Grenfell Tower fire. It is aimed at survivors, residents, voluntary organisations and community groups working in the area.
The workshop will introduce the principles of trauma-informed practice and consider how these can inform local planning, housing and wellbeing services. Drawing on community experience, the discussion will explore how trauma-informed approaches can support stronger connections within the community and help shape preventative health and wellbeing support.
Participants will also reflect on how voluntary and community organisations can apply trauma-informed practice in developing services that strengthen community resilience, support people to look after their health, and retain approaches that have already proved effective locally.
