Two exciting FREE opportunities are currently available for young people aged 18–25 across North West London who are currently NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training) and interested in starting a career in health and social care.
- Work Experience PLUS! – Immersive Virtual Work Experience
This is a 6-day immersive virtual programme designed to introduce participants to careers in social care through:
• Live online sessions
• Interactive simulations and role play
• Communication and employability skills
• CV and interview support
• Group activities and presentations
• Real insight into working in adult social care
Participants will develop confidence, teamwork, communication skills, and professional awareness in a safe and supportive learning environment.
2. Accredited 4-Week Training & Work Experience Programme
There is also a FREE 4-week online programme delivered via Microsoft Teams/Zoom, including:
• Care Certificate
• Accredited Level 2 Qualifications
• Progression pathways towards a Level 3 Diploma
• 2 days of supported work placements within social care settings (Face to face)
• Ongoing mentoring and employability support
This programme is ideal for young people wishing to gain recognised qualifications alongside practical experience within adult social care.
Eligibility Criteria
To participate, applicants must:
• Be aged 18–25
• Be NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training)
• Live within the North West London boroughs
• Have the right to work in the UK
• Hold a National Insurance number
• Be committed to completing the programme
