Half-Term Workshops for Families
Get hands-on with storytelling, movement, and making as we explore the amazing ways creatures live and what’s happening beyond our world:
Adventures in Nature (booking required), Tuesday 28 and Wednesday 29 October, 10:30am-12:00pm and 1:00pm-2:30pm
Community Family Discover Zone (Drop-in), Saturday 1 November, 11:00am–2:00pm
Free Tickets – Behind the Scenes Tour: Spirit Collection (booking required), Saturday 1 November, 1:00pm
Adventures in Nature
A playful workshop for families!
Join us for these fun creative sessions and discover how animals and humans grow, move, eat, communicate and survive. Get hands-on with storytelling, movement, and making as we explore the amazing ways creatures live!
This is a relaxed, family-friendly session, no experience needed, just bring your imagination.
Ideal for children aged 4–7, but older and younger siblings are very welcome.
Free hot drinks and snacks provided. Please note, children must be accompanied at all times.

Community Family Discover Zone
Free, drop in anytime 11am – 2pm, Sat 1st November
Dedicated quieter space with activities and snacks, free for local families. Join us on the first Saturday of every month to learn more about the world around us through science, crafts and play with other members of the local community. This month’s session will be taking place in the Nature Activity Centre in the NHM Gardens. Drop in any time between 11am – 2pm. Most suitable for ages 4-11. Please note, children must be accompanied at all times.

Get behind the scenes with our knowledgeable Learning Facilitators for a look at the Museum's incredible zoology collection preserved in spirit.

• Suitable for ages 10+
• Availability is limited so book early
