The Notting Dale Future Neighbourhoods 2030 launch event on Monday 18 July between 3pm and 8pm at Avondale Park has been now postponed due to the extreme temperatures forecast tomorrow. A new date will be scheduled later in the summer.

Notting Dale in Kensington is one of two neighbourhoods awarded funding as part of the Mayor of London’s Future Neighbourhoods programme. The Future Neighbourhoods 2030 funding programme was launched by the Mayor of London to support a green recovery from the coronavirus pandemic. Kensington and Chelsea Council have been awarded £1.4 million to transform Notting Dale in North Kensington into a Future Neighbourhood by 2030.
A wide range of local and regional organisations have partnered with Kensington and Chelsea Council to deliver 30+ pioneering environmental projects which will improve air quality, reduce carbon emissions, help tackle social and health inequalities, improve green spaces and access to nature, address barriers to active travel particularly for BAME and disabled residents, create more green jobs for residents, and support a more circular economy.
Projects, delivered with the local community, will address some of the most urgent needs and deliver activity with immediate impact across five key themes:
- Fabric First: Notting Dale Goes Net Zero
- Powering Up for the People: Clean, Green and Local Energy
- Creating a Cleaner and Healthier Notting Dale
- Building a Notting Dale Nature Recovery Network
- Creating Green Jobs and Skills Through Circular Economy
