NHS Volunteering is a free platform from NHS England which helps people across England find and apply for volunteering roles in healthcare. The platform is quick and easy to use, and accessible for both recruiters and volunteers.
NHS organisations and charities, voluntary groups and social enterprises (VCSEs) can advertise volunteering roles on the platform. It extends your reach to a diverse pool of motivated volunteers actively seeking healthcare opportunities.
You can advertise your roles if:
- you recruit volunteers for health-related activities
- you work with the NHS or a Local Authority

- Registered in the UK (for example, with the Charity Commission or Companies House)
Your volunteering roles must be:
- Unpaid (volunteers can claim expenses)
- With no contract or obligation for the volunteer
- Supporting healthcare activities for an NHS or Local Authority service
You will need to show you work with the NHS or Local Authority. You can use:
- a contract
- a service level agreement
