Imperial College research seed fund open to community organisations

Are you interested in exploring a question or issue with an Imperial College researcher?

The Collaboration Kickstarter is a funding call that brings together researchers and community groups to do just that.

This Kickstarter fund will be open to applications from community groups across Northwest London and Imperial College researchers from 3 November until the 12 December 2025. It will award grants of up to £10,000 to partnerships between community members and researchers who want to collaboratively design and deliver research that brings benefits to everyone involved. Activities funded under this scheme should contribute to Imperial academic research and involve a community organisation in Northwest London and an Imperial researcher(s) working together. You can find out about the kinds of projects that were successful last year with this link to the Imperial website

If you are a community organisation in Northwest London and have an idea for a research topic you would be interested in exploring with an Imperial researcher you can get in touch using this online form and a member of the team will get back to you.

If you would like to know more about whether this opportunity is right for you, you can learn everything you need to know about the fund by registering to join the online information and Q&A webinar on Wednesday 5 November, 12pm – 1pm via Eventbrite.

The Collaboration Kickstarter brings together researchers and community groups to collaboratively design and deliver research. If you want to know if the fund is right for you, come along to the online Q&A webinar.

Already got an idea? Imperial recommend booking a one-to-one advice session before applying.
