Designability (a UK charity) is inviting 10,000 Disabled people across the UK to share the everyday barriers they face — so we can all design a fairer future.
The survey covers:
- Home life (including managing money)
- Work, learning and technology
- Getting out and about (public spaces and transport)
- Health and wellbeing
- Social and community life
- Online experiences
Why it matters: The results will be used to create the UK’s first Unfair Index — highlighting the barriers that are most urgent, harmful, and possible to fix through better design. The Unfair Index will be published later in 2026.
The project has been co-designed with a pan-disability Lived Experience Advisory Panel, so Disabled people’s voices are central throughout.
Who can take part: Disabled people, neurodiverse people, unpaid carers, and parents of Disabled children across the UK.
Closing Date: 9am on 27 April 2026.
