Bags of Taste is a non-profit organisation that helps people gain control over their food choices, health, and household budgets. They're currently running a free home cooking and mentoring programme for residents in the Earl’s Court area, and they are keen to share this opportunity with families connected with local school communities.
About Bags of Taste
Bags of Taste run courses across England, including several London boroughs, supporting individuals and families who face financial or health challenges that make healthy eating more difficult. Participants often include:
• Families and single parents
• People living alone or socially isolated
• Individuals managing medical or mental health conditions
• Those relying heavily on ready meals or takeaways
You can find out more at www.bagsoftaste.org.
How the Programme Works
• A free delivery of ingredients for three healthy, low-cost meals (around seven servings).
• Remote mentoring via WhatsApp or phone for two weeks — participants cook at their own pace with friendly guidance.
• After completing the course, they receive more recipes, a small gift, and ongoing support through our graduates’ group.
Referrals
If you know any families in Earl’s Court who could benefit, you can either let them know about Bags of Tate, or, with their consent, you can share their contact details, and a local mentor will get in touch to help them get started.
