Help Counselling Centre is a low-cost counselling charity who have been providing affordable counselling services for over 50 years. We operate across London providing online and face to face support with a particular focus on the tri-boroughs of Kensington & Chelsea, Hammersmith & Fulham and Westminster.
We are recruiting a team of Community Outreach Volunteers to help raise awareness of our service at a local level and ensure those most in need can access support.
Our volunteers will help by:
- Identifying and connecting with local organisations, community groups, and healthcare providers to promote our services.
- Acting as the primary face of Help Counselling at local events, meetings, and community hubs across West London.
- Raising awareness of our mental health support to help reduce the stigma around anxiety and depression.
- Mapping out new opportunities to reach underserved populations.
- Keeping the team updated on community feedback and the success of various outreach initiatives.
Volunteers must:
- be familiar with the areas in which we operate (ideally be living in one of these boroughs).
- feel confident representing the charity when networking and talking with community groups and individuals.
- be passionate about ensuring availability of mental health support for all.
