Call for Participants: Funding Access for BME Groups

Submitted by zina serageldin on

Voice4Change England is inviting member organisations to take part in an important research study led by Jana Köváriová, a V4CE team member and MA Philanthropic Studies student at the University of Kent.

This study explores the accessibility and impact of emerging forms of financial support, including social investment, Match Trading, Match Funding, and Flexible Funds, for Black and Minoritised Ethnic (BME)-led organisations, compared to traditional funding mechanisms.

The research seeks to understand whether these alternative funding models are better positioned to address racial inequalities and to support BME-led non-profits more effectively. Insights from both funding recipients and funders will contribute to a deeper understanding of the challenges and opportunities in the funding landscape.

Jana is looking to conduct short online interviews with individuals representing BME-led non-profit organisations who have received one or more of these types of funding within the last three years. Participation is entirely voluntary, and individuals can withdraw at any time.

If you are interested in contributing to this vital research, please complete the Expression of Interest form by 30 June 2025. For further questions, feel free to contact Jana at [email protected].

Your time and insights are greatly appreciated and will help shape a more equitable funding ecosystem for the BME voluntary sector!
