Volunteer Coordinator

This exciting role is perfect for a candidate who is enthusiastic about the power of volunteering, which will be delivered through a combination of:

• Developing and delivering an attractive volunteer recruitment strategy that sells the benefits of volunteering with Citizens Advice Kensington and Chelsea.

• Working with our learning and development team to develop and deliver training (accredited and non-accredited) in the initial stages of volunteering, to establish volunteer role suitability, volunteer goals and service development opportunities.

• Designing and developing robust policies that relate to our volunteer experience and support the integration of volunteers into our team.

• Supporting our supervisory team in the day-to-day management of volunteers and relevant office administration duties.

• Working to build systems and processes that support our retention of volunteers, including devoting attention to our volunteers’ experiences of working with the service, supporting their needs, listening to their suggestions for the service and alleviating their concerns.

• Reporting to the project-funder and, with support of our operational team, developing the programme to meet the expectations and outcomes of the project.

• Supporting our research and campaigns work through coordination and support of volunteers engaged with this aspect of our work.

Salary: £34,689 per annum.

Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week. Occasional weekend and evening work may be required as we diversify services.

Contract type: Permanent, subject to funding (currently until March 2026).
