Living Wage Foundation have published the new Living Wage rates for 2026-27.
| UK rate: £14.10 (4.8% increase) |
| London rate: £15.45 (4.4% increase) |
The real Living Wage remains a crucial lifeline for workers as the cost of living continues to rise. It is the only UK wage rate that is independently calculated and rooted in what is needed to cover living costs and live with dignity and security.
Their recent research found that 4 in 5 workers paid below the real Living Wage were struggling with or unable to pay their bills, and 3 in 5 had cut back on food or heating, fallen behind on bills or housing payments, or taken out a payday loan to cover essentials.
