CEO of National Lottery announces a new Solidarity Fund for England to launch in Summer 2025

National Lottery Community Fund (NLCF) CEO, David Knott, announced in his blog, that the NLCF will be launching a new Solidarity Fund this summer as part of its Equity-based approach for funding. The NLCF also plans to release its new Statement of Intent this summer.

The new Solidarity Fund is being launched as part of the NLCF’s commitment to evolving its approach in partnership with communities.

The NLCF plans to commit £50 million - 10% of its England funding - annually to provide long-term and core funding to organisations tackling the root causes of poverty, discrimination, or disadvantage. This fund will place equity at its core, prioritising communities facing the greatest barriers to access and opportunity and seeking to address systemic challenges.

Details of the new Solidarity Fund will be provided when they become available.
