Stronger Futures Programme

Deadline

Two year grants of between £80,000 and £200,000 are being offered to not-for-profit organisations across London to support young people aged between 8 and 18 years old who are most in need and affected by violence. The organisations must aim to provide the young people with skills, opportunities, and support in the hours after school and in holiday periods.

Through the Stronger Futures Programme, a total of approximately £4 million is available for groups to provide after-school activities (Monday to Friday between 15:00 and 22:00 and school holiday periods between 12:00 and 18:00) for young people at risk, expanding access to positive opportunities, and providing development and support through training, apprenticeships, employment, and enrichment.

Examples of the types of activities that could be funded include:

  • Creative and cultural programmes.
  • Mentoring and leadership.
  • Sports and physical activity.
  • Therapeutic and mental health support.
  • Education and awareness:
  • Employability and enterprise training.
  • Safe spaces and community engagement.
  • Life skills and independent living
  • Digital technology

All applications must include a food offer in all holiday deliveries. This should be proportionate to the grant size, the anticipated number of young people, and the number of weeks of holiday activities being delivered.

Groups must have a proven track record of working with vulnerable young people who are at risk of, or already affected by, violence,
