K+C Foundation's Pathways to Work

Deadline

The aim of the grant is to support  residents want to work but are facing multiple barriers to employment and/or cannot access work that is financially sustainable. Over the next three years, £250,000 per year will be available for local projects which meet the aims of the Pathways to Work Fund. These are:

  • To increase access to viable and sustainable employment for K+C residents who are unemployed or under-employed
  • To remove barriers to employment for local residents, increasing their skills, opportunities and readiness to work

In order to be successful, your application must demonstrate that your project:

  • Is tailored to the individual, providing in-depth support to help them achieve their goals and aspirations
  • Provides holistic, ongoing support and works in partnership with other local services
  • Is informed and/or delivered by people who have lived experience or a deep understanding of the challenges faced by your service users
  • Has a strategy in place for identifying and engaging vulnerable people who may not be accessing services
  • Has a clear long-term impact, with a robust plan in place to measure this

In addition, they also particularly welcome applications for projects which:

  • Have connections with employers and real job opportunities
  • Offer support with soft skills, for example interpersonal skills and confidence building

  • Are innovative in their approach, particularly in relation to technology

  • Support people from the following groups:
    • Disabled and neurodiverse people
    • People returning to work after a career break, for example due to illness, caring responsibilities or redundancy
    • People from socio-economically deprived households
    • Young carers
    • School leavers who are not going to university
    • People aged 50+, particularly those who have been made redundant and/or need to continue working for financial reasons
