Mencap has launched the I’m In Challenge grants, offering up to £500 to support projects in England that help people with a learning disability join the GP’s learning disability register.
They are awarding 20 grants of up to £500 to organisations in England delivering activities that encourage people with a learning disability to join the GP learning disability register - improving access to annual health checks and better healthcare, which is a driving goal of the I’m In campaign.
Mencap particularly welcome applications from organisations that can show:
- Co‑production with people with a learning disability
- Engagement with underrepresented communities who are less likely to know about the learning disability register
- Collaborative working
- Innovative community engagement approaches
The deadline is Friday 27 February, 12pm.
