This fund aims to support community organisations to introduce or expand football (non-contact 5v5 American Football) as part of their work with young people. Grants of up to £55,000 are available. Funding will not exceed 50% of the organisation’s total annual income.
Funding will help organisations use non-contact 5v5 flag football alongside wraparound support to engage underserved young Londoners in safe, inclusive, and energising environments that improve wellbeing, create positive, measurable outcomes, and strengthen communities.
Funding will enable groups to harness the uniqueness of the flag football to bring people together in a positive and supportive environment, strengthen their communities and improve the physical and mental health of young people facing inequality.
Funded projects should combine flag football with wraparound support to deepen their impact. This support should be tailored to the needs of the group’s community but may include mentoring programmes, counselling, educational workshops, or support to develop employability skills.
Funding is for projects taking place between May 2026 and April 2028.
