There will be stalls representing various groups, such as Stop & Search Community Monitoring Group, Independent Custody Visitors, Neighbourhood Watch to mention a few. You will have the opportunity to talk to those representing the groups.
You will also be able to meet the Borough Commander and hear about the work done to keep you safe. Council representatives dealing with Community Safety will also be there to give advice and listen to problems you might have. There will be ample Question & Answer sessions during the meeting.
The rules for the Safer Neighbourhood Board (SNB) require representatives to stand for re-election every year and board member tenure to not exceed more than three years. Election to the SNB is open to any individual representative of a local community group – they will bring the views of the people they represent to the board and use this information to help shape policing and community safety in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.
This AGM will also see the Chair and Vice-chair step down and nominations are open for 8 seats on the board.
