A Theory of Change (ToC) is a tool that enables organisations to reflect on their aims (what they want to achieve) and develop a plan (how they will achieve it). It is an opportunity to consider the assumptions we make, discuss ideas with others, and lay out plans in a clear and logical manner.
This workshop will provide participants with practical skills to develop a dynamic, well-informed Theory of Change that can be used to underpin everything from strategic plans to project plans.
Please register to attend this face-to-face session, taking place at Bay 20. The small cohort of 10-15 attendees will:
- Learn about the key principles and uses of a Theory of Change
- Map out a functional Theory of Change with step-by-step guidance
- Interrogate and reflect on assumptions their organisation or project may be making in its work
- Learn about and practice three tools to involve important stakeholders in the ToC process
- Find out about the support available to develop effective, successful strategies and programmes
This session is recommended for senior leaders, operational and project managers who have responsibilities for shaping and designing their organisation's strategy and/or programmes.
All participants must be from voluntary organisations or community groups working in Kensington and Chelsea.
When registering, please provide a phone number so that a trainer can contact you for a brief chat to find out more about your aims and best hopes for the session, as well as your current level of understanding and experience with Theories of Change.
