We’re working together to create a new mental health strategy for the Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) across Kensington & Chelsea and Westminster. Led by KCSC and One Westminster, and backed by the Bi-borough VCS Strategic Group, this strategy aims to maximise the role of the VCS in preventing and addressing poor mental health in our communities.
Our goal?
To prevent mental illness, reduce the impact of health inequality, and ensure people have more control over the support they receive—support that’s accessible, joined-up, and culturally relevant.
- Over the next 6 months, we’ll be:
- Mapping VCS mental health services
- Engaging with residents and frontline organisations
- Reviewing local investment and best practice
- Running a VCS SWOT analysis
- Exploring the social return on investment of VCS mental health work
How You Can Get Involved:
- Complete our Service Mapping Questionnaire to help us understand the local VCS offer
- Complete our VCS SWOT Analysis to share your insights and help us understand strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.

- Host a conversation with people who use your services – we’ll support you! Email [email protected]
Together, we can build a strategy that reflects the strengths of our sector and the voices of our communities.
