Launched in February 2020 in response to the Grenfell Tower fire, Healthier Futures supported the health and wellbeing of North Kensington residents by improving access to community services and reducing health inequalities. Funded by the North West London Integrated Care Board (NWL ICB) and managed by the Kensington and Chelsea Social Council (KCSC), the programme worked in partnership with local Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) organisations.
Over five years, Healthier Futures enabled the delivery of a wide range of health and wellbeing services, from arts and leisure to mental health and social prescribing, supporting residents to stay well, build social connections, and access relevant care.
Although the programme has ended, KCSC continues to support the local VCS and community-led approaches to health and wellbeing in North Kensington.
