The next Global Majority Thought Leadership Group Meeting will be taking place on Tuesday 21 October 2025 from 9:15am - 10:30am. This will be hybrid so join online via Zoom or join in person at the KCSC Office, Museum of Brands (Car Park Entrance), 111-117 Lancaster Road, London, W11 1QT.
A Zoom link to follow in due course.
We will be focussing on two important local developments – the first is RBKC’s Charter for Public Participation and the second – RBKC’s Equality Impact Assessments.
Charter for Public Participation
Back in April this year the Thought Leadership meeting was held with Olivia Schelts-Harris Head of Consultation and Participation from RBKC. This was so that those of you who attended could feed in a response to the council’s review of the Charter for Public Participation. Oliva will now be returning to update on how the consultation is shaping the development of the Charter.
The results of the Future of Public Participation public consultation are now available. You can now read this through in more detail below. Charter for Public Participation | Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea
A Fairer Action Plan and Equalities Impact Assessments
Mandeep Kaur Bains, the Corporate Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Lead at RBKC will also be attending to update on the outcome of the council’s Fairer Action Plan (Equalities Strategy) and priorities for action. The Fairer Action Plan sets out a clear commitment to reviewing the Council’s approach to Equality Impact Assessments that help the Council consider equalities implications. This will be the focus of our discussion.
