Westway CT Volunteer Cars

Service Description

The Volunteer Cars is a one-to-one service supported by volunteers. Members can pre-book transport to go where they need to including Clubs/Day Centres, Banks, Libraries, Places of Worship, Dentists or Doctors or to visit Friends and Relatives etc. PLEASE NOTE: Volunteer Drivers support this scheme so bookings are not guaranteed until confirmation.

Cost of trips (as of March 2022):
up to 1 mile - 2 miles = £2.20
up to 7 miles = £4.40
7 - 12 miles £8.80
12 - 20 miles = £16.00
More than 20 miles you will need to contact the team for an estimated cost

The majority of our volunteers use their cars, but we also have a few designated smaller vehicles in our overall fleet. Two of these cars are wheelchair accessible so that we can offer this service to members who cannot transfer from a wheelchair to a car seat.
