We are pleased to invite you to attend the Kensington and Chelsea Social Council Annual General Meeting for 2016.
The AGM will take place on Tuesday 27 September in the Small Hall at the Kensington Town Hall, and is part of a morning conference, for which the agenda is below.
The Annual general meeting will be preceded by a special talk and discussion on the changing environment and the voluntary and community sector’s role as service providers. There will also be a focus on the Social Council's role as an enabler of voluntary action. The AGM will end at 1pm and will be followed by a networking buffet for which you are welcome to stay and network with our members.
Minutes of the last meeting and attendance
The AGM will inlcude a vote on our new articles of association (not updated since 2002).
Changes from our old Memorandum of Articles:
- The Object hasn't changed and the powers are all still there as well.
- New Benefits and payments to charity directors and connected persons is available in art. 7.
- Declaration of directors’ interests and regular conflict of interest check are new in art. 8-9
- Proxies procedures and right have been extended in art 22-22A
