Join us on Wednesday 3 December 2025 for our Financial Responsibilities of CIC Directors and Chartiy Trustees workshop, taking place from 10:30am - 12:30pm online via Zoom.
The directors of a CIC and charity trustees occupy an important position of trust and have a range of financial duties and responsibilities. This workshop will explore the financial responsibilities of CIC Directors and Charity Trustees in an effective organisation.
Key aspects of the workshop will be:
- Financial planning: Financial management, looking back at annual accounts and forward to planning tools, and how these are linked
- Financial records: Ensuring clear financial records are kept
- Financial procedures: The need for sound control systems to produce a clear “audit trail” and safeguard the company from misappropriation or loss
- Financial reporting: Management reporting to the Board; accountability and reporting to funders and stakeholders ensuring key requirements are met for statutory and regulatory reporting
This training is open to directors of CICs and to trustees of charities operating in the borough of Kensington and Chelsea, and particularly to those who may be new to the role. Staff members are also welcome to attend. It is not open to members of the public.

When oversubscribed, spaces will be limited to 30 representatives of local voluntary and community organisations operating in the borough of Kensington and Chelsea. We will give priority to KCSC members first then to other not for profit organisations based in and providing a services to residents of Kensington and Chelsea.
