The session will be run by the RBKC Human Resources Department. It will set out the difference between managing staff conduct and assessing staff capability. It will look at whether an employer should deal with an employee's poor performance through a disciplinary or capability procedure, as this depends on the nature of the poor performance. As part of this, it will cover how an employer should carry out an investigation, which will include meeting with the employee concerned, to establish whether the employee's poor performance is conduct or capability related. We will explore the appropriate actions in different scenarios. It will be an interactive session delivered so there will be plenty of scope to ask questions in regards to particular issues.
There will be time for questions during the session.
This training is for representatives of local voluntary and community organisations operating in the borough of Kensington & Chelsea. It is not open to members of the public.
