CitySafe comes to Kensington and Chelsea
CitySafe is a London Citizens initiative working to make our neighbourhoods more connected and our streets safer. 3 CitySafe Zones are planned for the borough. 

New Link magazine out now
The summer edition of our quarterly magazine is out now. In this edition we look at the reelection of Boris Johnson as London Mayor and ask what legacy the Olympics will leave for our communities.

Poverty Watch Meeting

Find out more about Poverty Watch at this meeting which will also be attended by Campbell Robb, Chief Executive of Shelter and Kate Bell, London Poverty Project Co-ordinator from Child Poverty Action Group who will share their experiences and offer advice on co-ordinating the gathering poverty data.

This forum will include an update on plans for the Kensington Aldridge Academy, the latest on commissioning of CYPF services and a presentation on engaging children in decision making. 

Big Olympic Festival
Sunday 29 July, 12pm - 5pm, World's End
Come and celebrate the start of the Olympics at this family friendly 'Big Lunch' event. We will have a special Olympic theme as the women's cycling road race passes nearby.

Esmée Fairbairn Merger Fund
A £100,000 fund to support organisations who are in the early stages of thinking about a merger. Grants are available to organisations working in the Foundations areas of interest: the arts, education and learning, the environment and social change.

Healthy Communities Small Grants Programme
Deadline: Monday 18 June
Grants of  between £5,000 - £10,000 are available to small organisations with an annual income of less than £75,000 for health and well-being projects.

McDonald’s KickStart grants
Deadline: Saturday 30 June
One-off grants of between £500 to £2500 are available to community football teams. Funds are available for anything which will help to support, grow or develop your players and the community.

The Science Museum History Open House is an event for community groups, arts organisations and history societies interested in Science, Technology, Engineering and Medical Heritage who would like to use the museum’s resources as part of their historical research.

Wednesday, 20 June, 12pm - Sunday, 1 July, 6pm, 154 Freston Road, W10 6TR
Eleanor's exhibition at Latymer Projects this June focuses on the history of Latymer Road. Sharply divided by the construction of the Westway in the late 1960s, the majority of the road was renamed Freston Road except a small section to the north which remained unchanged.

Open House at Dashwood House
Thursday, 28 June 2012 - 3pm to 6pm, Dashwood House, 6 Pembridge Square, W2 4ED
Residents will be providing food and a cake stall. Staff and residents will be available to chat about the project and what goes on.
