Grenfell Anniversary      This week sees the anniversary of an event which should never have happened. Our hearts and our thoughts go out to the families and friends of those that perished in the fire. This week will make it no easier for them but hopefully there will be some comfort in knowing that the community is standing with them. As a small local charity, KCSC takes pride in being a part of the community of Kensington and Chelsea. The outpouring of grief, anger and frustration has become a normal part of daily existence and a part of our lives working in KCSC, but we are also seeing a renewed energy and a strong sense that the community will come through and will emerge much stronger and far more in control of what happens in their local area. Several prominent organisations and community groups have come together to promote the Grenfell Remembering Together Event.  Read more

X Green for Grenfell    June the 15th marks Green for Grenfell Day. Green For Grenfell is an annual event bringing together communities to celebrate diversity and unity, this year it is focusing on schools and community groups, each year the focus will widen in order to build a lasting legacy of the support the Grenfell community received in the first days and weeks by the local community but also from every corner of the country. events   Grenfell Events   Iftar 4 All Wednesday 13 June, from 6pm, SPACE location 194 - 214 Freston Road   SPACE, who are overseen by Notting Dale Residents Advisory Board, are holding a series of events from 6pm on Wednesday the 13th of June. Activities available on the night include art workshops, t-shirt printing, multinational cuisine and a 72 second silence at 12.54 am. KCSC and other events   Main Voluntary Organisations Forum  Tuesday 26 June, 10am-1pm, Committee Room 1, Kensington Town Hall, Hornton Street, W8 7NX   The next Main Voluntary Organisations Forum will focus on future local services and we hope to have members of the newly elected Council in attendance as part of the discussion. There will also be an opportunity to network with your voluntary sector colleagues.
