Andrew Christie, Director of Children’s Services Tri-Borough
Andrew Christie, formerly Director of Children’s Services in Hammersmith & Fulham has recently taken responsibility of Children’s Services across Westminster, Hammersmith & Fulham and Kensington & Chelsea. As Director of a single Children's Service Mr Christie will manage a budget of more than half-a-billion pounds. The move is part of plans to make savings of £11.8 million a year by combining the three services while protecting vital front line services. At this VOF, Mr Christie hopes to introduce himself to the forum and speak about the approach and priorities of Children’s Services across the three boroughs.
Kids Company
Mozhy Chipperfield, Kids Company
Founded in 1996, Kids Company provides practical, emotional and educational support to vulnerable inner-city children. 17,000 children across London benefit from the services provided by Kids Company, including the most deprived and at risk whose parents are unable to care for them due to their own practical and emotional challenges. Mozhy Chipperfield will present on the services Kids Company plan to deliver in Kensington & Chelsea.
Building Capabilities for Impact and Legacy

The Big Lottery Fund is planning to test different approaches to enabling frontline VCS organisations and social enterprises to get the support they need. Different ideas are being put forward as a new way of funding frontline organisations that work to combat poverty and deprivation and also need support to strengthen their capacity. ‘Get on Board’ Governance Project

‘Get on Board’ is a governance support project that assists local voluntary organisations recruit the trustees they’re looking for. The project also supports organisations by offering trustee training and refresher courses. Siobhan will give an update on the projects developments, as well as details of upcoming events and how to get involved.
