What do you have planned for the summer?

We know a lot of local organisations are in the process of planning events for the summer. We want to know what activities you have coming up so that we can put together a programme of summer fun that local people can enjoy. If you are putting on any special events that are open to the public, maybe in celebration of the Jubilee or the Olympics why not let us know by dropping us a line at kuldip@kcsc.org.uk

Poverty Watch

Poverty Watch aims to collate evidence and be a local voice on the impact of welfare changes on our community.

If you have information that you can share we would like to hear it. It may be figures that show an increase in demand for your support services or it may be a case study that highlights the knock on effects of cuts on one of your service users.

We want to create a body of evidence that really highlights the effects of cuts on our local communities.

Managers Support Group - Chair and Senior Worker Relationship

Guidelines on the chair/senior worker relationship

The relationship is referred to as ‘pivotal’ and ‘the most important linkage in the organisation’. Fishel sums up what each party looks for in each other: ‘The CEO wants support and advice. The Chair wants no surprises. The CEO wants the space to get on with the job. The Chair wants to be associated with a successful organisation’.

A healthy Chair- senior worker relationship:
