The NHS across Westminster, Kensington & Chelsea, Hammersmith & Fulham and Brent is undergoing a review of palliative care services with the aim of improving access and consistency of our services. An independent review highlighted a number of challenges currently facing the local services, for example that less than half of local people (48%) across these boroughs are accessing palliative care services when they need them. You can access the full Independent Review here.
The West London CCG website includes the feedback from the palliative care workshops. You can read the feedback from the workshop here.
We want to involve our patients and local people in discussions to help to address the issues highlighted in the independent review.
We have now developed four possible scenarios which seek to address the current challenges. These are set out in our Involvement Document attached. A printed version is available on request.
