4in10 is a campaigning network of organisations working to improve the lives of the 4in10 children living in poverty across the capital.
Their new research, Picking Up The Pieces, will investigate how London’s charities are responding to the challenge of poverty in the wake of diminishing state and local authority support.
Please take part in their short survey now and you could win one of two £75 amazon vouchers.
In London, many families are struggling to survive in the face of on-going welfare reform, rising work insecurity and the acute housing crisis.
As our society invests less and less in the mechanisms that help prevent these families from being pulled into the current of poverty, many are turning to charities – with wealth of expertise, compassion and experience – to help them keep their heads above water.
However, many charities in London are facing a perfect storm of rising demand and decreasing resources. Their research will:
- Identify the role that the voluntary and community sector is playing in supporting families on low incomes
- Highlight great practice from across the capital
- Evidence the risk to families if tackling poverty and its symptoms is left entirely to the VCS sector
Share your views and insight with them and be a vital part of the evidence from the front-line.
All survey respondents will be in with the chance to win one of two £75 amazon vouchers.
Deadline for responses: Monday 3 September. Prize winners will be announced on Wednesday 5 September.
